An optical resonator, consisting of four mirrors,
is fed with a gaussian
photon wavepacket. At what exit does the photon appear with what
probability? What does the wavepacket look like? How much of it gets
stored in the resonator?
This, and other quantities, are calculated as a function of adjustable
physical parameters. The dynamical display shows how the wavepacket
evolves in time at the various beam lines.
